Upon graduating from the University of Louisiana in Lafayette, where he set several school records for punting, Chris had the opportunity to experience the NFL first hand. He was invited to attend camps with the New York Jets, and the Jacksonville Jaguars, after which he was given, try outs with the Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals, New Orleans Saints, and the Dallas Cowboys. Chris enjoyed the chance to experience the inner workings of the NFL, something few people ever achieve, while making lifelong friends in the process.

Chris’ love of the game and his talent for kicking and punting has inspired him to mentor others and believes that living the experience through the young men is more gratifying than doing it yourself. It’s through this opportunity that the love of the game and the journey is so rewarding.

With over 29 years of on the field punting and kicking experience, Chris Shaw has become one of the most sought after Kicking, Punting, Snapping & Special Teams Consultants in the NATION. Coach Chris has spoke at AFCA several times, flown across the country to work with several colleges, including working with over 200 high school coaches to break down the kicking, punting and snapping game. Chris develops trains, and mentors kickers, punters and snappers all over the country while instilling a strong work ethic, and solid foundation along with a winning attitude. He has an exceptional track record of successful and aggressive business development and marketing plans (including strategy, planning, execution and post-analysis). Chris provides extensive kicking, punting and snapping training via individual and group lessons, as well as nationally acclaimed Special Team Camps. Since 2007, KICKNATION has hosted over 165 college camps nationwide.

Chris holds 7 punting records for the Ragin Cajuns. He was 1997/1998 All-Louisiana Punter, and has continued a 13-year stint without records broke at his Alma Mater. Chris still holds 12 records at opposing colleges for punting. Chris graduated college on the Dean’s list.
